Aud-X DirectShow Filter (v. 1.24)

Aud-X is an MP3 5.1 (surround) sound encoder and decoder for Windows. A group of enthusiasts started working on the project to provide people with a way to encode DivX and Xvid movies with 5.1 sound instead of the usual MP3 stereo sound which is, acccording to the developers, far inferior to the richer surround sound. Aud-X can create streams ranging from 80 to 192 kbits, has an easy-to-use interface, is compatible with AVI, OGG, Matroska and MPEG containers, and was designed to work with stand-alone home movie theater amplifiers (AC3 in/out).
