AC3Filter (v. 1.62b)

AC3Filter is a free audio decoder that allows media players, such as Windows Media Player, to play video files with AC3 and DTS audio tracks. Through its interface, it provides you with many customization options so you can adjust the sound to your preference. Extra features include the ability to up-mix or down-mix any audio track (up to 6 channels), adjust the gain of every input/output channel to compensate for differences in loudness, and encode any audio file to AC3. Also, if you own an external Dolby ProLogic decoder, you can help it extract surround sound information with the use of the ProLogic down-mix feature.
