SapphireSteel Software, the developer of the Steel IDE for programming Ruby and Sapphire in Microsoft's Visual Studio 2005, is giving away a free eBook on the Ruby programming language, originally designed by Yukihiro Matsumoto. The eBook, titled "The Little Book Of Ruby," is 565KB in file size, was written by Huw Collingbourne and dubbed "the fastest, easiest way to learn Ruby 'by example.'" It includes 10 chapters, spread out over 85 pages, that help you get up to speed on Ruby programming. Additionally, you can find more than 50 little sample programs on their website that demonstrate every topic in the book, packed into a 32KB extractable ZIP file.
